On a Jet Plane....Again!!!!

Yeah...I am traveling again tonight. This time to Abu Dhabi. Did the packing again(Gosh, I am so sick and tired of packing unpacking). Hopefully the blogsite is accessible from there, so will keep posting. Oh between, I am going to be there for a month. Since, I don't have much to do there either, so bought some books yesterday.
  1. Die Trying
  2. In an Antique Land
  3. The Twentieth Wife
  4. The Righteous Men
Pretty much will be able to spend time. So, my next post will be from Abu Dhabi. Until then tata. :)

Isn't this a beautiful painting? Found it while surfing the net.

Insignificance

Have you ever felt that moment
When all around you is rolling on
And you are rolling with it
And nobody cares?

That moment when you realise
That all around you, people are being born
And people are starving to death
And you have no control at all?

But when you think about it hard
You realise you are insignificant
To the world, and no one cares
What happens to your life.

But then have you ever felt that moment
When you meet someone who really loves you
And to them, the world is rolling around
But you aren't rolling with it?

You are stopped in time
With them alongside
While the world rolls along
And nobody cares?

Silence

I was reading an article in today's newspaper supplement and it was about SILENCE. What different people think of it as. Some said that it is better to be silent at times as it improves strained relations or silence is much more powerful in communicating what you would not be able to do otherwise. And some thought that keeping silent could be misunderstood. Well, both the sides are correct in a way. Silence could speak thousand words. I would like to give some common examples.
  • A tiff between two people. One decides to take the route of keeping mum. The other one would eventually cool down. Problem solved. OR. A tiff between two people. One decides to take the route of keeping mum. This may aggravate the anger of other person. Problem increased.
  • Guy/Girl proposes. The other just smiles without saying anything. Its a Yes...Yaaaayy. OR. No expression. Just walks off. Its a No. :(
Could you think of any more examples??

It was a good article. :)

U Me Aur Hum

Went to watch this movie today. It started like a typical romantic movie with the guy trying to woo the girl(just that this time an old man was trying to woo an old lady and they were none other than Ajay Devgan & Kajol). Till the interval, it went on like a normal Bollywood movie but there was a twist in the story at that point which continued after the interval. Now for people who have seen the two Hollywood movies 'Note Book' and 'First fifty Dates' can easily guess where the movie is heading and what the end is. I am not disclosing that. You can go watch it. My reviews - the movie is a bit slow with hardly any good songs. Kajol is looking gorgeous and she and Ajay Devgan make a nice couple. There are some more characters in the movie supporting the lead actors and I found them good in their own way. I think a one time watchable movie. :)

Saw these lines in a book I was reading. Liked them a lot.

"I wanted a number one, Michelle. The way I saw it was, like, I don't deserve anything less than Firas. But my number one was satisfied to be with some one less than me, and so now I am forced to be satisfied with something less than him."

"I don't agree with you there, Sadeem. For me, my number one is gone, but some one who's even better will come along! I will never sell myself short and I can never be satisfied with the crumbs."

First Love

Why does the first love refuse to let go?
It comes back right away and awakens us to the past.
It grows as we do, yet returns us to the old days.
With insistent reminders, we're thrown to its flames.
With its fire, it burns us, it burns to the core.
Why does the first love refuse to let go?

Today he's back
as if nothing happened
and with an artless child's eyes
he's come back to tell me
I'm his life companion,
his one and only love.
He came bearing flowers, how can I say no,
my youth sketched on his lips
I remember still, flames through my blood,
taking refuge in his arms
I hid my head within his chest
like a child returned to his parents...

Lines by Nizar Qabbani

Well, I think for whosoever the poet has written the lines, must be a real lucky girl that the love of her life came back. It rarely happens. I know I would have some friends to support me because they went through the same thing of losing their love and not being lucky enough to have it back. But I do know some lucky girls myself though and I am happy for them.

Krazzy 4

The movie actually drove me crazy to death. Was the audience suppose to laugh? I didn't find any humor in the movie and whatever little humor it SUPPOSEDLY had was stale. I wonder what went wrong with Rakesh Roshan that he came up with such a movie. For the record, The movie is about 4 mental patients(Raj[al Yadav, Irfan Khan, Arshad Warsi, 1 more guy - I dont know the name) who are smart enough to rescue their doctor(Juhi Chawla) from the kidnappers. Again, the story line is old where the mental patients succeed in the plans they make to help her. Typical Bollywood movie. No good songs. The title song is picturized on both Shah Rukh and Hrithik. Hrithik has his typical way of dancing but Shah Rukh was better. All in all, a crap movie. DON"T WATCH IT. UTTER WASTE OF TIME.

Mithya

Ok..I don't know the meaning of Mithya. For the information, its a movie I watched 2 days back. Since, I don't know the meaning, I don't know what the director was trying to show. The storyline was old and repetitive. But I can comment on the actors in the movie. Ranvir Shourey, as usual, acted superbly. I like the way he puts charm in a character. Vinay Pathak hardly had a role to play. He could have been better utilized. Neha Dhupia was absolutely not required in the movie. Naseerudin Shah's talent has been wasted. Harsh Chhaya had a minor role as a member of a gang in Mumbai but I find him better in cute, good, sweet hubby roles ;). It had some more small screen actors. Looked like a low budget movie with no songs, glamour, exotic locations. I was like some one in the dark who was trying to grapple as to what's happening in the movie.

Suggestion: You want to watch it, go ahead. Don't blame me later. :D

The Last Day

Returned from Bangalore today morning. Went there to meet my friend Archu who has been special to me. Don't know when I would be seeing her again.

And today is my last day in Chennai. The end of 2 yrs. They had been fun and a lot of learning. The feelings are mixed at the moment. I am happy because I am going to be home after 4 long years and I am sad because I have to leave all my friends, the house that we so lovingly live in. But I guess, life moves on.

I have been doing packing since morning and it seems that I have more stuff here than I have back at home. The suitcase and bags are looking like monsters after being all filled up. And there is still one more bag to be packed.

Will try to catch up with Chennai friends over dinner tonight.

My last blog from Chennai. Bye Bye Chennai, Hello Delhi.
